Strawberry Fields Salad
Forgive my sorry photography here – I took this photo after dark with my regular old kitchen lamp as my only lighting source.
Anyway, I like salads, but I rarely make them. Actually, I rarely order them. I don’t want to be one of those girls who orders a salad and then eats everyone else’s food. If anything, I might get a house salad as a side. I think we short-sell salads though. Given the right ingredients they can be truly terrific. I know this one is.
There’s just one, teensy, tiny, problem. I’m not entirely sure that this amazing, divine, tangy, sweet, salad dressing from heaven is available everywhere. So far, I’ve only found it at the HEB on Far West (I realize that if you’re not from Austin, this information means very little to you). But, let me know if you find it somewhere else. Think of it as your duty to mankind to discover and share this salad dressing.

Serve desired amount of salad topped with sliced strawberries, nuts, feta cheese, and drizzled with the watermelon vinaigrette. Prepare to have your mind blown.

They have the watermelon vinaigrette here in Houston too! Its in my fridge, halfway empty…
I’m glad to hear it isn’t just in Austin, that stuff is amazing!
